Some Lovely Reader Comments

What an excellent book! The author has a very interesting and easy to read style, meaning that ‘just one more page’ kept changing to ‘just to the end of the chapter’. The story-telling really pulls you in and I love that my imagination does some of the work (a sign of a good book in my world) and you can imagine the feelings, the noise and see the scenes before you.
It is fantasy, sci-fi, adventure all in one and some more too! I felt like I really got to know Elji and the various characters he meets and interacts with along the way.
Would most definitely recommend this and I want to know what happens next. BookTwo please when you are ready Colin!

Usually I don’t read sci-fi, but I thoroughly enjoyed getting my teeth into Elji and his pursuits for harmony and universal peace. There are lots of messages for us to take on board for a better world. I finished it soon as I couldn’t leave Elji alone. I was immersed in his world and story, and often stopped to have a bit of a ponder. Now I am now wondering what will become of those two as – yet – to – be- born babies? Mr Sinclair, congratulations on your first part of this saga. I look forward in anticipation for the next. xxxx

Some people might say my writing a review about a book because i know the author might be a bit partisan or 1 sided, i mean god forbid any one commit to comments that might include in-depth knowledge of the author or his quirky, funny but some what serious nature as you review their take on subject matter. I have to say though the book for a first time go and difficult and large subject matter had me one min wondering off to the edge of arakis to the mystical wastelands of the native americans dancing in a pyotah haze to twirling in a bizarre out of body experience as i threw my self into battles and flights magnificent long lost beasts.
I feel the book in general is a great read and has the user thinking about what hes reading , although i found my self sometimes re reading parts i had read to make sure i got the most out of a particular scene or convergence of ideas
that at first escaped me, this didn’t take away anything i read or felt about the book. With this in mind i had one request that i already talked with Colin as i was reading the book and that was for me as a single person
with a wish list was a book that was more in-depth and bigger, Understanding time and author constraints of any endeavour as big as book i am satisfied in what i got and read. Waiting whole heatedly without spoiling any future plans for the next book which if i understand correctly is already gracing paper in part and form. Colin will vouch for the fact i pestered him for mnths for the book when it was almost ready hahahaha ow the laughs we had…

Looking forward to the twists and turns between good and evil in the next book after having been introduced to all the characters in this one and being drawn into the labyrinth

Fantasy is not normally my genre but I thoroughly enjoyed this read. As the characters and their intentions revealed themselves I found myself being drawn further into the world of Elji and the Galrasse. Bring on volume 2!

Outstanding.
From the first page, you are immersed into a world of such a magnitude that it is breathtaking. Beautifully written and a storyline that takes you along a winding, all-encompassing journey. I could easily see this as a film or series, the words are almost poetic in their description. I can’t recommend this highly enough to those who love fantasy, and beautifully written future materpiece.

Absolutely five star and beyond

I’ve been reading this Genre for many many years. I’ve not come across a book written with such passion. A brilliant read from the start. You are immersed into a world like no other and you just can’t put it down. Can’t wait for more.

This book was recommended to me as being a book I should read because of my beliefs and experiences of a spiritual nature. It’s not one I would naturally have picked up but I’m certainly glad I did.
It is a book that cleverly brings some beliefs and ancient knowledge of human history and existence into a novel with well thought out characters whom you identify with immediately and can understand what they bring to the story easily.
To me, although there are no storyline similarities, it does what Dan Brown did with the Da Vinci code in that it opens the mind to some hidden truths and ideas and makes you want to understand more but having said that it you want no more than to read a very good story it will not disappoint.
It leaves you wanting to read more (which I believe is coming ) and is certainly open to being picked up as a kind of ‘Game of Thrones’ type of series
Highly recommended

I feel as though I’ve been on the most magical and transcendent journey. The worlds that Colin Sinclair has created along with the wonderful characters are mesmerizing. I highly recommend Elji and the Galrass. You won’t be disappointed. It’s the best Fantasy novel I’ve ever read.

Not my usual read and, although it took some time for me to work out who was who, I soon became gripped by the intricacies of this journey through time and the universe, and the battle between good and evil. Sinclair paints vivid pictures of many worlds, some strange and some more recognizable, and introduces the reader to many complex and interesting characters. This is book one of The Essence Sagas, I look forward to book two.
